cook on Fridays. I think we will start with Chambord Kir Royales –  served in our fancy flutes of course - 2 tsp Chambord, 1 fresh raspberry and topped with Champagne. Bubbly, pink and not too sweet – just like me!?!

Check out Tuesday’s New Yorks – that’s my Valentine’s favorite dish and I’m whipping it up tonight. I’ll make extra so I can make Thursday’s hash and eggs for breakfast on Sunday morning – it will pair perfectly with the spicy Bloody Mary he’ll be making for me.

I’m not a big sweets gal so dessert will be a French triple-cream cheese with shaved dark chocolate, salty Marcona almonds and port. Sexy right?? Mmmm….

I hope you all have a wonderful Valentine’s Weekend.

PS As I write this, on Valentine’s morning, my little has treated us all to an hour of treatments in her Day Spa. She has chosen a green apple candle, her sister’s Mango lotion, her stocking stuffer Crème Brulee lotion and my new (nutmeg & ginger) perfume to set the mood. It smells like the ladies lounge at Neiman Marcus at the holidays -- full of little old ladies. I don’t think I’ll get this combo out of my nose for a week. Her older sister is enjoying the spa right now and it doesn't sound very relaxing. I'm up next, and just keepin’ it real, I really can't wait to lie down…

Last week I was hesitant to try your broccoli soup because my friend Sandy has a delicious recipe that uses oats. But I have to say I loved this soup too! The spinach added a brightness and freshness to the soup, plus a few extra vitamins never hurt anyone. OK I also topped the soup with some bacon. I couldnt help it!
