This week’s plan and each week’s plan are for you. It’s a tool for you to use to make your life easier. Just like the dishwasher or the food processor. The fact that your family benefits from your reduced stress, a calm dinnertime and good food is a bonus. Just print the shopping list and go to the market. You are almost done.
 
Back in the day, I used to run to workout. I lived in the Marina District in San Francisco and had a gorgeous, most enviable route through Fort Mason to the Golden Gate Bridge. But the truth is that I hated it until one day my husband said “ High five! Getting dressed and outside is 90%. Now you just have to do it!” He was exactly right and I learned not just to suck it up but I loved it.
 
That’s exactly how this meal-planning gig works. Printing and shopping are like getting dressed and out there. Now, just cook it!
 
Maybe I’ll go for a run today??
