I want to eat real food. I want my family to eat real food.
Armed with this plan, I know I can do it. I am a real person, with real kids in a regular ol' kitchen cranking out dinner. Find out my inspiration for the menus, what's happening in my kitchen, and the achievements on the kid-friendly front.
I’m spinning a few of my crew’s most frequently requested hits this week. Sometimes, I just don’t feel like springing anything “new” on them. I’ll keep it healthy and real but these are their choices, for sure.
My oldest is a teenager and plays high school sports. I knew it should be a simple, yet delicious pasta dish that would be packed with meat but, of course, not too many vegetables - Orecchiette with Pasta and Spinach.
Tuesday’s choice was one of my husband’s faves – Braised Chicken with Green Olives. He knows that I won’t ever waste my time making just enough for dinner – so, half of the leftovers are off to work!
Wednesday’s vegetarian – me! This recipe was shared with me from a Real Family Real Food member in Northern California – Creamy Broccoli-Spinach Soup with Parmesan Crisps.
Finally, it’s my little’s night. It was worth the wait – Chicken Quesadillas and Refried Beans. She so psyched.
The end up is that I had no complaints and dinner was done. Check!
