I want to eat real food. I want my family to eat real food.
Armed with this plan, I know I can do it. I am a real person, with real kids in a regular ol' kitchen cranking out dinner. Find out my inspiration for the menus, what's happening in my kitchen, and the achievements on the kid-friendly front.
Feeling a Bit Tilted
We have had so much interest in The Real Family Real Food Plan this past week!
I get it. We are all just trying to score a little balance in our lives. Whether it’s back-to-school, back-to-work, winding down summer or gearing up for Fall, there’s one thing we all could use – a dinner plan!
Seriously, we all have enough to do, so take that layer of needless stress out of your day. Replace it with solid, yummy, real food choices that your crew will want to eat.
Here’s how it works:
Sunday: Print/download the Shopping List.
Monday: As many of our members do their shopping on Sunday or Monday, this night’s dinner plan is usually something quicker – this week it’s Fish Tacos and Red Rice.
Tuesday: We set up a successful second half of our week with a little more time in the kitchen on Tuesdays. The plan is always a doubler of the protein. Just sock away the extra for use on Thursday. This week it’s Pan-Roasted Chicken and Potatoes with an Arugula-Corn Salad.
Wednesday: Vegetarian Night! We could always use new ways to get more veggies and grains in our meals. This week we are making Garden Linguine with Almond Pesto.
Thursday: We did the work on Tuesday so tonight will be a breeze. This week it’s Chicken Parm Calzones – um, ya, they are delish. Very often this dinner is either portable or keeps well fas we cant all eat together.
There you go! Real food that real families will want to eat. And, you didn’t have think about it – once you do your shopping, it’s all there and you are ready to roll.
See you next week!
