I want to eat real food. I want my family to eat real food. Armed with this plan, I know I can do it. I am a real person, with real kids in a regular ol' kitchen cranking out dinner. Find out my inspiration for the menus, what's happening in my kitchen, and the achievements on the kid-friendly front.

Happy Thanksgiving

2014-11-21 | 0 comments

It's all hands on deck - big hands, little hands - to put together OUR holiday. Little hands are making decorations and prepping veggies. Big hands are brining the turkey and creating a new Thanksgiving cocktail. But, we still have to eat on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. And, I want them to be good, real food choices.
I have to have a plan during extra busy times like this. My kids are out of school and I'm on- all day. I'm working, cleaning up, prepping for Thanksgiving, cleaning up, grocery shopping, cleaning up, driving them around, cleaning up – Man, we are messy! Truth? I still love this week.
Are you cooking for a crowd?  Then this week’s plan is perfect for you. Each of these recipes can be doubled or tripled and make beautiful presentations. Best part? They are really simple and don’t have much active prep time. But, as always, take a minute to read through the instructions as things will get hectic this week.
Did your guest just offer to help? Fantastic! Pour a couple glasses of wine and get after it. Since you took your Shopping List to the market, all the ingredients are just waiting for you. You guys can have a lovely visit while you cook dinner -together.
I wish a warm, wonderful holiday to each of you and your families.
