I want to eat real food. I want my family to eat real food. Armed with this plan, I know I can do it. I am a real person, with real kids in a regular ol' kitchen cranking out dinner. Find out my inspiration for the menus, what's happening in my kitchen, and the achievements on the kid-friendly front.

Who's on First?

Who's on first?

I can’t even answer that – I have no time! Everybody seems to be going in opposite directions and I am finding that I need to be in three places at once – and those are the three that I remember!! As much as I would like to just pull the kids from school and start summer vacation right now, I won’t. And, as much as I would like to just eat out every night this week, I can't. My goal is to eat together twice and with this plan I can do it.

The kids are completely jacked up with end of the year parties, beginning of the season parties, school plays, playoffs, graduations, bridging, Open House Nights, etc. I will have no extra hands at dinner time. So, I am turning to some useful ingredients – frozen veggies, high quality- low sugar tomato sauce and whole wheat pizza dough. All still wonderful Real Food products that will shave some precious time.

This week’s line-up is full of simple, make-ahead preparations that can be squeezed into those pockets of time I hope to find as I…

Wait! That’s it! I just realized why I was feeling uneasy for the last few minutes – I’m late for the Spring Band Concert – crap.

Happy Memorial Day!

OK, I am making everything on this menu, it all sounds so good, but I am also doing the Greek Chicken Pitas tonight from weeks back which has become a staple and a family favorite.
